So now we wait....

Stuck. Genealogists call it hitting the brick wall.  

Mary Catherine Mc Masters marries Evans in North Carolina. She has Evans children. Lots of them.

Our problem is that North Carolina is littered with Evans.  Mc Masters are rare though we have discovered pockets of them populating North Carolina in the latter part of the 1700s.  But which ones are ours?  Three of us have been working on this for more than a year.  Still the brick wall.

We hope that perhaps DNA will give us a clue... but nothing so far.
